Hello!
My name is Alan Smith-Daigle and I’m a creature designer and puppet maker.
I graduated ArtCenter College of Design in 2025 with a BFA in Illustration for Entertainment Arts and a minor in Creative Writing.
My love for all lifeforms is integral to my practice as a creature designer. I blend my knowledge of biology with my love of storytelling and magic to create unique creatures that fill specialized ecological roles in both environments and stories.
As the Student Leadership Award winner for the Spring 2025 class, I also care about supporting my community. At ArtCenter, I was a club president, orientation leader, and a teacher’s assistant. I strive to create safe spaces and surround myself with a community of other passionate creatives.
I always have my sketchbook on me, where you can find me exploring the unseen lives of the hidden, magical creatures of our world!
